Yeo Valley, Snack Pot
Yeo Valley are a household name in the UK, known for making organic produce, such as yoghurts, soups and milks. Tim Mead is a visionary within the farm produce FMCG sector and always wishing to progress Yeo Valleys innovation approached FLYNN to develop a new way to consume and retail their produce.
About the Project
Snack Pot
Challenge
FLYNN were hired to explore ideas for a new type of sustainable homewares which would be sold as a promotional item by supermaket chains who stock high volume of Yeo Valley product. The snackpot would be designed to support working lunch or breakfast as a reusable container which would keep the contents cool for hours and also include a branded spoon. This idea would permit a reduction in structural packaging for Yeo Valley by selling large Ltr pouches of milk and yoghurt allowing decanting at home.
Outcome
We set about a design research and concept ideation project which helped Yeo Valley realise their vision. We helped them understand the world of homewares reusables and introduced a range of new sustainable material options. The project helped a pilot scheme as part of market research launched in their London cafe, this stimulated a lot of consumer interest in the concept.
Final Thoughts
We had a blast working with the Yeo Valley team, high end mock ups permitting market research ahead of any production investments to understand user sentiments.
